Here at Mulhouse, we are aware of just how lucky we are to work in such a great industry, and alongside such good people. Flowing from this comes a willingness to give something back to the world, and one way we try to do this through our various charitable projects.
For over a decade we worked alongside Marie Curie Cancer care here in the UK supporting their valuable work. And we continue to support small local charities, but our chief focus is now on international aid projects.
This started in Cambodia in 2005 providing funds to build two wells and a reservoir.
Then in 2011 the Newton’s were visiting Kenya with their family when they discovered a small rural community that was on the brink of famine. Together with 2 other families they formed Friends of Kianjai Kenya. The company was a major source of funds in supplying maize and beans for 4 months that enabled these villages to avoid starvation. Then in October 2011 the rains thankfully came and there was a harvest. Through this challenging time friendships were forged that have enabled the charity to continue to support this vibrant community. We could see first hand that although their resources were depleted this community had leaders of integrity, creativity and dedication.
Mulhouse is delighted to continue to support a range of activities in this community. Always working with local enthusiasm and at the grass roots level.
